about

BIFF 001. The one that started the whole crazy thing. Indigo Husk were, at the time, highly regarded and yet not particularly fashionable - they pursued the less-fashionable path of melody, chiming guitars and ambiguous lyrics (this at a time when overdriven and distorted guitars were all the rage). Nonetheless, the decision to release this was simple - the songs were more direct, the band had mastered dynamic shifts and slightly more complex arrangements, and the songs crackled with the energy they displayed live. We thought 'Swayed' was a pretty good radio song - still do, really - and that the EP captured the band very well. Oh, the artwork was derived from photos taken at Underwater World as I recall. It was not well-liked...
